After School Robotics and Coding Program in San Diego
San Diego kids deserve more than worksheets and screen time after the bell rings. At RoboThink, children ages 7 to 11 build real Arduino-based robots, code their own video games, and solve engineering challenges - all in a fun, hands-on environment that develops the skills they’ll carry into the future.

Led by Mr. Javier, a robotics educator with over a decade of experience coaching FIRST Lego League, VEX, and national robotics competition teams, RoboThink has brought STEM education to more than 100 schools across five San Diego County school districts, City of San Diego recreation centers, and community partners including the YMCA and UCSD.
Our curriculum is standards-aligned to NGSS, K12-CS, ISTE, and Common Core, and it’s built around our proprietary Robotori robotics kits, designed specifically to teach children engineering, coding, and creative problem-solving in every session.

Six Hands-On Platforms, One Complete STEM Education
RoboThink isn’t a single class, it’s a full progression of interconnected programs that keep kids learning something new every cycle. Our six platforms cover robotics building, robotics coding, video game design, drone technology, and creative arts.

Robotics Building
Every session, students construct a different Arduino-based robot using bricks, gears, axles, motors, sensors, and controllers. Themes rotate quarterly through electronics, wheel systems, and mechanical engineering, so returning students always face a fresh challenge.

Robotics Coding
Using Codey Rocky, Dash, mTiny, and mBot robots, kids learn block-based programming through Scratch, mBlock, and Dash Blocky. They code real robots to move, respond to sensors, and complete challenges, building skills in loops, variables, conditionals, and algorithm design.

Video Game Coding
Through MIT’s Scratch platform, students design and build their own video games from the ground up. They create classics like virtual pets, catching games, and ping pong while learning the fundamentals of programming logic and graphical interface design.

RoboArtz Studio
Where STEM meets creativity. This platform adds the “A” to STEAM, combining artistic expression with engineering projects to spark imagination and help students approach innovation from multiple angles.

Droneology Jr
An introduction to drone technology and aerial robotics for young learners, building on the engineering and coding foundations from our core programs.

mBot Team Preparation
For students ready to take their skills further, this platform prepares teams for robotics competitions using collaborative problem-solving and advanced coding.
